How can I practise a shift handover if my English is still basic?
Start with the five openings only, not the whole handover. Say The state, The fault, Unfinished, The risk and Next out loud five times, then add one fact to each opening. That is already a complete handover in short sentences.

A cheaper drill than any course: at the start of every shift, walk your area once and name five things out loud in English, such as the machine, the guard, the ramp, the trolley and the door, then say one sentence about each in the five-line order. It takes two minutes and it uses exactly the words you will need at the end of the shift. Keep the card in your pocket for two weeks and write it in English from the first day, with no translation column beside it, so you never practise the translation instead of the sentence.
