Expect around four to six questions in four to five minutes, though the examiner can add follow-ups. Each answer usually runs thirty to forty seconds.
The count is not fixed, and the examiner is allowed to add questions when an answer is very short or when the discussion needs a follow-up. What stays constant is the shape: an opener, a few questions that develop one topic, and a closing question about the wider issue. Train on that shape rather than on a fixed number, and an extra question costs you nothing.
