How much time is given for IELTS Listening?
About 30 minutes of recordings in both formats. On paper you then get ten minutes to transfer answers; on computer you type as you listen and get two minutes to check at the end.
Approximately 30 minutes of recordings on both formats. On paper you then get ten minutes to transfer your answers to the answer sheet; on computer you type as you listen and get two minutes at the end to check. The extra time on paper is for transfer and checking, not for listening again: the recording never repeats.
Plan the ten minutes instead of spending them all on handwriting. A workable split is four minutes for Parts 1 and 2, three for Parts 3 and 4, and three to re-check the answers you were unsure about. On the computer the two minutes are the only review you get, so use them on the spelling of every name and street you typed.
